Swansea City right back Angel Rangel could be sidelined for up to two weeks after suffering an ankle injury during Sunday’s 0-0 draw at home to Aston Villa.
While an x-ray confirmed there was no bone damage, manager Brendan Rodgers says they will have to look at his ankle ligament to see the extent of the damage:
“It could be a bit longer for Angel – maybe a couple of weeks. There was no damage on the x-ray but we need to look at his ankle ligament.”
Rangel had to be substituted after just 26 minutes during Sunday’s game at the Liberty Stadium, and was replaced by Jazz Richards – who made his first appearance of the season.
