Preston fans were left impressed by Swansea City’s performance at Deepdale on Saturday with some of their supporters relieved to get a point from the game.

“I’ve come away from Deepdale on numerous occasions wondering how weve only managed to get a draw, but yesterday I walked off feeling grateful that wed hung on for a draw. Swansea are a good football team who gave us a football lesson at times. They should be around the playoffs come the end of the season. They seem to be lacking a bit of consistency.”

“Swansea were far neater than us, with a lot more off ball movement but I’d say in real chances created it was equal, therefore a draw was probably fair, despite Swansea dominating the game.”
One Preston fan was also impressed with our build-up play for our 55th-minute goal:
“The movement for their goal was excellent. Better right backs than TC would have egg on their faces after being turned inside out twice. More of it being a very well worked goal than a defensive deficiency.”
Not every fan was overly impressed though:
“Swansea are no great shakes; plenty of nice, neat passing but little end product, even against the 2nd worst defence in the division. Don’t see them making the playoffs.”
—
“Just home and have to say bluntly, that was a really poor excuse for a game of football. Preston were very poor and Swansea were only marginally better.
We deserved a point but nothing more.”
It wasn’t only Swansea fans who were left baffled by the penalty decision either:
“Still don’t know how we got that pen either.”
