Reports in Sweden believe that Ostersund boss Graham Potter has verbally agreed to take the vacant manager’s job at Swansea City.
The 43 year-old is expected to be unveiled on Friday after finalising the formalities over the coming days. The Swans had also interviewed Dutchmen Jaap Stam and Frank de Boer, but Potter has emerged as the clear favourite to take the job after Carlos Carvalhal was relieved of his duties last week.
With Potter under contract at Ostersund, the Swedish club will be due a compensation payment from the Swans, but this is something they’re willing to pay to get their man.
Swansea City fans will also be encouraged to hear that Graham Potter will bring with him his scout Kyle Macaulay and assistant coach Billy Reid.
