Reports in Portugal suggest that Swansea City have completed a deal to sign Portuguese striker Eder for a fee of around £5m.
Portugal’s Radio Renascença say that the 27 year-old has signed for the Swans, which would add to today’s rumours that a player is in the city today to undergo a medical.
The 6ft 3′ frontman averaged a goal every 2 games in his first two seasons at Braga, before adding another ten goals in 19 starts to his tally last season.
23 goals in 46 starts is not a bad return at all but there are mixed reviews on the striker who can sometimes fade in and out of form.
If the news from Portugal is true then he could be confirmed as the club’s 4th Summer signing over the weekend, and it would likely complete their search for forwards ahead of the new 2015/16 season.
Gomis and possibly Eder would be the Swans’ two main strikers, with the likes of Routledge and Ayew available in support as second strikers.
Routledge played alongside Gomis regularly when the 4-4-2 diamond was used, while Ayew could also operate in a similat role next season.
