In a recent Vital Swansea site poll, we asked you, the fans, if Swansea City should sell Michu this Summer – amid strong rumours that he was set to join Napoli.

Yesterday, the Spaniard’s loan move to Italian side Napoli was confirmed – with an agreed option to buy him next Summer.

The Swans preferred to sell him outright after conceding that they were set to lose him this year. However, due to Napoli’s fincnacial struggles and Michu’s injuries last season, they preferred to take him on loan first.

In the poll, 45% voted that Yes we should sell him, but only for a high fee.

38% said an outright No, while the remaining 17% voted Yes – regardless of the fee involved.

Our current poll asks you how many signings you think manager Garry Monk needs to make before the season starts in just four week’s time.

Summer Ins and Outs so far:

IN: (4)

Fabianski, Kingsley, Gomis, Emnes.

OUT (8):

(loanees) – de Guzman, Lamah, Vazquez.

Ngog, Lita, Michu (loan), Hernandez (unconfirmed), Edwards.

Likely Outs: Pozuelo, Canas.

Doubts: Ben Davies, Bony, Vorm.

With 4 new signings so far, and 8 players departed with Canas and Pozuelo likely to follow, it’s no surprise that more than half of voters so far think Monk needs 5 new signings or more – even though that does seem unrealistic and highly unlikely.

One of those is expected to be Ecuador international winger Moreno, who is in the city for a medical according to local reports.
