Former Everton and Lens midfielder Guillaume Plessis has been on trial with Swansea City recently.

The 21 year-old joined Everton from Lens in January 2004. He has represented France at youth level and scored on his debut for the Blues’ Barclays Premeirship Reserve League North side.

Manager David Moyes decided to sign Plessis after a trial at the club but later released him at the end of last season.

The closest he got to the first team was making 3 appearances on the subsitutes bench near the end of the 2004/05 season.

A host of other players have also been on trial with the Swans including Willie Boland and Andy Oakes.
