Goal hero Gorka Pintado says he’ll never forget the moment he scored the equaliser in yesterday’s derby match at home to Cardiff City.

The Spaniard came off the bench and scored 10 minutes later – converting MacDonald’s cross with a superb volley.

Pintado said:

‘I won’t forget this goal,’

‘To score in such an important game against Cardiff is something I will remember for all my life.

‘Every time I meet a supporter in the street they tell me that playing Cardiff is the most important game. So now I know they are happy that I scored the equaliser.

‘It was a special goal for me. I know it made the Swansea supporters very happy.’

After an impressive start to the season, scoring goals against Nottingham Forest and Hull City, he went off the boil really and struggled to perform and continue scoring goals.

Martinez still feels he is adapting to the British game and is yet to reach his full potential.

He has shown glimpses of class this year, and when he begins to perform like he can more consistently, he could be a real asset to the squad.
