Kenny Jackett will have a hotline set up to the dugout on Saturday so he can contact his colleagues from the stands.

He faces a 1-match touchline ban after being sent off from the dugouts away at Bournemouth last month.

The Swansea boss will see the match from the director’s box as his side host Oldham at the New Stadium.

The rules allow Jackett to enter the dressing rooms prior to kick off and at half time and can make contact with his assistant, Kevin Nugent to make tactical decisions.

‘I’ll be on the phone to the bench making substitutions and things like that,’ he said.

‘But I’ll have every confidence in Kevin Nugent and Colin Pascoe down there on the touchline.

‘Kevin is struggling a bit with his ankle after Yeovil, but I’m sure he’ll be able to hobble around the technical area pointing and shouting instructions.

‘A lot of people have said to me that with Kevin, Colin and myself, one of us should go in the stands every week and get a different perspective.

With Sam Ricketts back, one defender will be forced to start on the bench. Garry Monk limped out of training yesterday with a muscle strain and looks to be the favourite. With Akinfenwa back from suspension, Forbes will also be dropped to the bench.
