Swansea City’s new head coach Garry Monk got off to the perfect start in his new job with a thumping 3-0 win against arch rivals Cardiff City at the Liberty Stadium.

After a fast paced first half, Swansea City did all the damage in the second half as goals from Wayne Routledge, Nathan Dyer and Wilfried Bony got them three points that sees them jump all the way up to tenth in the table.

The Swans started very brightly, passing was quick, and their movement was sharp, something that has been lacking in recent months. Their fighting spirit was also back, as the team battled away to win back possession as soon as they had lost it.
