Reading boss Paul Clement showed a touch of class after today’s game against his former club as Oli McBurnie was finally back on the scoresheet with a goal either side of half-time to give the Swans their second win in five days.

Clement was back at the Liberty Stadium for the first time since his sacking about ten months ago but he experienced more misery again in South Wales as Graham Potter’s side were worthy winners.

He could easily have just gone straight back into the away dressing room after the game but instead, he showed a touch of class as he waited outside the home dressing room to shake hands with the Swans players.

I wasn’t Paul Clement’s biggest fan but he deserves a lot of respect and attention for this in my view. He helped keep us in the Premier League and deserves credit for that too but the following season he adopted cautious, negative tactics that proved to be his downfall. It must also be said that he wasn’t helped by a lack of squad investment but he could have at least relaxed his defensive mindset.

Not long after Oli McBurnie converted Dan James’ cross to pretty much guarantee the three points, a section of the East Stand chanted “You’re getting sacked in the morning!” towards our former boss which I couldn’t help but feel was a little harsh but I suppose that’s football for you.
