Ostersunds FK chairman Daniel Kindberg has confirmed in a press conference that he has allowed Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins to speak to Graham Potter regarding the vacant manager’s job.

Kindberg initially denied the speculation saying there had been no contact with the Swans, but after the club’s 2-0 home win this afternoon, the Ostersunds FK chairman confirmed that there have been talks.

You would expect more developments on this early next week. Ostersunds have a long break now during the World Cup – giving both parties the perfect opportunity to make the move happen, and the Swedish club to find Potter’s replacement.

When asked during the press conference, Graham Potter said that he will have a “glass of red wine and then go on vacation” which makes us all wonder when this will be wrapped up.

He added that it’s “not easy” as his family are settled in Sweden, but that it’s a “big challenge” to take them back to the Premier League and to give them an “identity”.

It does sound like it’s a project which appeals to Potter, but the difficulty will be moving his away to another country again, having settled in Sweden for the last 7 years or so.
