The Daily Star have linked Nottingham Forest with a £750,000 bid for Swansea City midfielder Andrea Orlandi.

The tabloid newspaper, as we all know, well known for their accurate reports on this sort of thing, (ok perhaps not) believe that Billy Davies is keen to sign the Spaniard in the January transfer window.

Now, I can’t remember the last time a report like this from the Daily Star ever came true. Orlandi is a free agent in the Summer which would mean a fee of £750,000 is highly unlikely.

Orlandi has been playing regularly for Paulo Sousa’s side recently and has put in some good performances, but while he has played consistently well, never really outstanding to attract such interest from a fellow Championship club?

Then again he has improved vastly under Paulo Sousa and he’s still only 25, and can continue to improve and become an excellent first teamer for us.

I’ll be surprised if we hear anything official regarding a fee being tabled for Orlandi next month.
