Swansea City are in a great need to get a number of high earners off their wage bill this Summer and it looks like that process will soon get under-way.
Reliable journalist and Swans fan Stuart James has tweeted recently saying that Jordan Ayew will soon complete a £2.5m transfer to Premier League Crystal Palace, who he played for last year on a season-long loan.
Jordan Ayew is set to join Crystal Palace from Swansea for about £2.5m (includes some add-ons) as soon as the Africa Cup of Nations is over. The deal isn’t signed off but it’s pretty much done. Ayew has a year left on his contract & Swansea need him (& others) off the wage bill.

Jordan Ayew has already scored two goals in three African Cup of Nations games for Ghana. His brother, Andre, another player we’re desperately hoping to sell also scored in the 2-2 draw vs Benin.
Ghana will be back in action today against Guinea-Bissau.
But first, watch this power strike from Jordan Ayew in the last game against Benin.#KawowoUpdates #AFCON2019 pic.twitter.com/pludcvHceW

Other players that the Swans will want to get off the wage bill as soon as possible are Jefferson Montero, Tom Carroll and Borja Baston.
Swansea City will lose £2.5m on the £5m they paid Aston Villa for him over two years ago but like with his brother Andre and the other players mentioned above, they just need to get them off the wage bill now to get it down to a manageable level for the Championship.
