Second choice goalkeeper Andy Oakes could move on in the Summer after admitting that he does not want to spend another season at Swansea on the bench.

The former Walsall shot-stopper has hardly featured at all since his move last Summer and with his contract coming to an end in June, he may be looking for a transfer.

He said: ‘I wouldn’t want another season on the bench,’

‘I’ve expressed the feeling that I need to be playing to the manager and he understands that, so I suppose we’ll see what happens in May.’

Kevin Nugent gave him an opportunity after Jackett was sacked as he started the game at Yeovil. He played well, but new boss Roberto Martinez re-instated Gueret in the next game.

The French keeper has looked far too error-prone lately and I think Oakes should have stayed in the side after Yeovil and played the remaining games this season.
