Swansea City will have to look elsewhere for a goalkeeper as they have ended their interest in trialist Derek Soutar.
The former Dundee, Aberdeen, Alloa and Brechin shot-stopper has spent the last few weeks at the club, and featured in the friendly against Chester in which we won 3-2.
But he failed to turn up on Tuesday for our home friendly against Ado Den Haag, he was expected to play 45 minutes in order for Martinez to have a further look at him.
Having only one goalkeeper in Dorus De Vries at the club, it seems a concern but manager Roberto Martinez says he won’t be rushed into making a signing:
|‘We’re going to take our time and if there’s a reason we need that extra cover and extra body we’ll always make it happen,’|
|‘I wouldn’t start Scotland (against Charlton) regardless of whether he is fit. Bauza has had a brilliant pre season and should be rewarded with a starting place at Charlton.’|
