Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup says there’s nothing to worry about after Chico left the field early during Saturday’s home defeat against Spurs.

The Spanish defender was out for a number of weeks with an ankle ligament injury which forced him to miss the Capital One Cup Final at Wembley just over a month ago.

He returned to first team action last Saturday as Swansea City lost 2-1 against Spurs. He left the field after 66 minutes, but Laudrup insisted he only suffered a ‘kick’ and he went off as a precaution.

‘Chico got a kick. It was the same foot so he was a little worried but it’s not so bad.

‘He should be ready in a couple of days.’

The Spaniard produced another impressive performance in defence – despite the team losing and conceding two goals.

Hopefully he can help to inspire the Swans to a much better result on Saturday with a tricky trip to Norwich City.
