Swansea City’s Assistant manager Graham Jones will be breathing a sigh of relief this morning after Somerset and Avon police confirm that no charges will be brought against the former Middlesbrough youth coach.

Jones was arrested following an altercation with Rovers Defender Danny Coles which left the defender with a split lip.

Words were exchanged by Jones and Coles following a on the ball incident which saw Swansea’s on loan striker Fabien Brandy dismissed by Uriah Rennie for a two footed lunge on the rovers defender.

Tempers began to flare in the tunnel after the game and it is alleged that Jones head butted the former Hull City player.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary have released a further statement outlining no charges will be brought against Jones.

The Statement Read:

As a result a 38 year old man was arrested and released on police bail, pending further enquiries.

urther statements have been obtained in line with normal practice. The police investigation has now finished and no further action will be taken.

oth football clubs have been fully co-operative during the investigation and are supportive of the outcome.’
