In our new site poll, we’d like to know how many new Summer signings you think Swansea City need to make in the upcoming transfer window.

Garry Monk has recently revealed that he’s looking at bringing in 5 or even 6 new players this Summer as he aims to at least match last season’s record-breaking year.

12 players have already left, although many of them were youngsters including the likes of David Cornell and Rory Donnelly. Unsurprisingly, Alan Tate and Gerhard Tremmel were also told that their contracts weren’t going to be renewed.

Of course, plenty of names are being linked with a move to the Liberty Stadium. A new player gets added to the list of possible targets every day but it’s somewhat clear to see which few are serious targets.

Monk is keen to bring in a left back to compete with Neil Taylor, a goalkeeper is also close to signing according to reports, while a midfielder and a striker are also on the wanted list. Add a possible winger and already that’s five new signings.

Monk wants 5 or 6, but do you – our readers – agree? Vote now in our new poll on the right hand side of the website, and let us know your views in the comments below. What positions do we need to strengthen in? Is Monk targeting the right players in the right positions?
