Brentford fans appear to be in confident mood ahead of Sunday afternoon’s FA Cup 5th round clash at the Liberty Stadium as both the Bees and the Swans hope to make it through to the quarter final.
Brentford had suffered some league form following manager Dean Smith’s move to Aston Villa but they appear to be back on track now. They’ve scored 14 goals in their last 5 Championship matches and are 4th in the form table (based on the last 8 games) with 4 wins and only 1 defeat.
Judging from some of their fans’ comments on their main forum, they appear to be confident of progressing through to the next round.
“Play the same team as Villa game with just Daniels swapping and nailed on win…2-0”
“I really wish this game was at home I’d go for a convincing win. We aren’t consistent enough away from Griffin Park, but as it’s the cup I’m going to go for a 2-2 thriller before we win on pens.”
“Winnable and hopefully lady luck will smile on us. 2-1 to the mighty Bees.”
“We are so going to win this 3-1 Bees.”
“Need to give them good shafting to show then how lucky they were when they won at Griffin Park.”
“Bees on a roll. We will win 2-1.”
“I have a funny feeling that we are going to win this one. Despite league positions, I believe we are a better team than Swansea now. I’m predicting 2:0 to the super Bees”
Will Swansea City fans be as confident? Probably not as confident as the Bees fans above. Our main man Oli McBurnie is not a guaranteed striker having struggled again recently with illness and the 2-1 defeat at Leeds was a poor performance.
