Kerry Morgan thanks manager Paulo Sousa for giving him his first team debut last night against Reading.
|‘Kerry Morgan did fantastically well.’|
It was a surprise to see the young left winger in the first team in yesterday’s home match but after a nervy start, he performed very well on the wing and Sousa said he was pleased and proud of his performance.
Morgan was grateful for the opportunity, he told Swans Player:
‘I’d like to thank the manager for giving me the opportunity,’
‘And it was great to get on and play in front of this crowd.’
‘I was a bit nervous after being told that I’d be starting but when the game got underway it just felt nice to be involved,’
‘I settled down quite early and the boys just told me to play my normal game and enjoy it.
‘It also helped to have support from the likes of Alan Tate who constantly kept talking to me.
‘I’ve worked hard, especially in the last year, and I felt that my time would eventually come.’
Paulo Sousa and his side will now look ahead to Saturday’s trip to Coventry City as we go in search for our first League win of the Season.
|‘I thought it was ahuge improvement on Saturday. I think Dobbie looks some player but he may not be able to do the lone role. Morgan did really well after a nervous first 20. Dyer caused problems and Orlandi was vastly improved from Saturday.’|
