New signing Luke Moore said Swansea City ‘was the only club for me’ as he considered a few offers before signing a 2 and a half year deal at the Liberty Stadium today.

Moore told the Official Site:

‘I had a few offers from other clubs,” admitted Moore, 24. ‘But as soon as I came down to speak to the manager and chairman (Huw Jenkins) I was very committed to Swansea and I wasn’t going to go back on my word.

‘I spoke to a lot of people about the manager before I came down for talks and they all had nothing but praise for him as a person and a coach.

‘I needed confirmation for myself on how he saw me fitting in to the squad, but as soon as I spoke to him I knew there was only one place for me.

‘There is a great set up here at Swansea, from the stadium and the pitch to the squad itself. There are some very good young players here and I think everyone in the game is well aware of their unique style of play.

‘They always play good football, which I think will suit me. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Moore says he’s not making any predications yet and is looking forward to enjoying his football with the Swans:

‘I think every young player wants to play regular football,”

‘I’m no different.

‘I was always looking for a permanent move somewhere in January and I had heard great things about Swansea.

‘The people in the city must be very proud of their club and team.”

‘I’m not going to be making any bold predictions at this stage,” added Moore. ‘I just want to work hard for the team and enjoy my football – then everything else will take care of itself.”
