Garry Monk was pleased to see David Edgar back at the back, after working with the defender last season during his loan spell.
The club skipper, currently sidelined with a knee injury, says the 23 year-old is a good signing:
‘It’s a good signing for us, especially coming so close to the deadline,”
‘He knows most of the lads from last season and settled in well when he was here. He’s a good guy.
‘More importantly, he can play anywhere across the back four and knows the system we play.
‘That’s a huge advantage, together with the fact that he’s a defender who can also play football from the back.”
Edgar joined the Swans in March 2010 and played 5 games for the club and scored one goal.
