Swansea City manager Garry Monk is now looking to get some points at Aston Villa on Saturday after losing the last 2 games.

His side was very unfortunate to lose at home against Liverpool on Monday night, as Jordi Amat’s attempted tackle on Jordan Henderson saw the ball deflect off the Reds’ midfielder, past Fabianski and into the net.

It was enough for Brendan Rodgers to complete the double over the Swans after their 4-1 win at Anfield at the end of 2014.

Swansea City will be looking to pick up some points this weekend after being very unlucky to not to get anything on Monday. A defeat on Saturday would be the first time this season that they’ve lost three on the bounce, as Villa hope to build on their 4-0 thumping at Sunderland.

‘We have our own agenda, we have our own targets,’

‘The players all know what we are trying to aim for and I said to them after the game that if they continue performing like that, especially the way we did in the first half, we will have no problems achieving what we want to achieve this season.

‘But what is important now is that we go on to the next game and take some points.’

Swansea City midfielder, Jack Cork, one of the outstanding performers on Monday night against Liverpool, also added:

‘If we can put in a performance on Saturday like we did in the first half against Liverpool, we’ll be okay,’
