Swansea City skipper Garry Monk says Saturday’s 3-0 win at Fulham was a ‘complete performance’.

When looking at the team’s best performance of the Premier League season so far, there’s plenty to choose from. Including the wins against Manchester City and Arsenal, but last Saturday’s win at Fulham was the best according to Garry Monk, and his team-mate Danny Graham also agreed with a comment on twitter.

Monk said:

‘It was a complete performance against Fulham,’

‘We had absolutely everything – character, spirit, quality. Some of our play was magnificent.

‘We have been getting better and better as the season has gone along, and that was one of our best away performances if not this season then for a long time.

‘We came in 1-0 up at half-time, but that is a dodgy scoreline. Even though we were playing well, we had to come out strong in the second half.

‘Their fans were stunned. I know a few of their players and they said that was the only time they had been outplayed that much on their own patch.’

Monk also spoke about the spirit and mentality within the squad, which is down to the manager Brendan Rodgers.

‘It’s been an amazing achievement considering where we have come from.

‘We don’t have the same resources as other clubs but we have the mentality and spirit that has taken us to another level. That comes from the gaffer.

‘But it’s not little Swansea any more. It’s the style people talk about and the passion from the fans. The fans have been fantastic this season. They have waited a long time for days like this, and they deserve it.’
