Andy Robinson is out injured for the next 2 weeks while skipper Garry Monk faces 4-6 months on the sidelines.

He said: “The consultant seems to think it’s going to take me four to six months to get back,”

“I think everything that could have gone wrong with the knee has gone wrong.

“Obviously I’m bitterly disappointed. It is a big season for myself as club captain and the team as a whole.

“But I am determined to do all the rehabilitation and get back sooner rather than later.”

Jackett added: “We are all disappointed for Garry,”

“But he is a good professional who has done really well for me over the last two years.

“I know he has the character to bounce back from this and I’m convinced he will still have a big part to play in the run in.”

Jackett will also be without another defender as Alan Tate is suspended for the next 3 games as Steven Watt looks likely to replace Monk in the centre of midfield on Saturday at Oldham.
