A twisted ankle means Michu will miss the next two games

Swansea City have suffered an injury blow this week as Michu will most likely miss this week’s games against Kuban Krasnodar on Thursday, and Sunday’s home league game against Stoke City.

The Spaniard twisted his ankle during Sunday’s 1-0 defeat at arch rivals Cardiff City, and manager Michael Laudrup says that he will probably miss the two games this week before a 2-week international break.

‘Michu is not 100% right now, he is struggling with some physical problems.

‘He had to leave the pitch with another twisted ankle, so probably he will be out for a couple of games.’

The Swans have struggled for goals in recent games, scoring no goals in three of the last 4 so they’ll find it tough without their talisman.

  • Hard to say whether it’s a good or bad thing at the moment. Michu has looked jaded recently and may benefit from a rest. Saying that I can’t see where the goals are going to come from.
