According to Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup, Michu believes he is ‘towards the end’ of his ankle injury.
Last season’s top goalscorer has been out for about a month after picking up an ankle problem in the 1-0 defeat at Cardiff City.
He will miss Wednesday’s home game against in-form Newcastle United as well as Monday’s game against Hull City.
‘Michu is better…but it’s difficult to predict,’
‘Michu has been out for four weeks now…we will see what happens. He is confident that he is towards the end [of the injury].
‘He is training inside and we will go out and do something with the physios in the next couple of days and we will see at the end of the week how he is.’
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Michel Vorm has a chance of returning on Wednesday, but Angel Rangel is definitely out, and will be for another 2-3 weeks.
Bony is also close to recovering from a hamstring strain but will also miss Wednesday’s game.
