Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez said he would love to sign loan goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos.
The Greek made the perfect debut at Doncaster yesterday, capping off a solid performance with a late penalty save to gain us a point in the 0-0 draw.
His arrival came quickly after Dorus De Vries suffered a broken cheekbone in a 0-0 draw at home to QPR, and while youngster Krysiak slotted in as a temporary replacement for the first 2 games, Konstantopoulos’s experience was always going to be more useful in between the sticks.
Martinez told BBC Sport:
|‘Yes, why not. (when asked about keeping Konstantopoulos)|
‘You can see when he is on the pitch, he really affects the game in the right way and if we could, we would love to.’
‘Dimi has got the quality to play at this level, that’s certain.
‘But football makes the decision not me.’
