Roberto Martinez has won the converted manager of the month award for the 2nd time this season after leading the club to the top of the leauge one pile.

Martinez faced strong competition from Yeovil Boss Russell Slade, Walsall manager Richard Money and Doncaster Rovers Sean O’Driscoll.

After an unbeaten in the league in the month of December Martinez was odds on favorite to win the award.

Memorable wins over Leeds United and Cheltenham Town that has seen a brand of free flowing football that has exited fans and sent a message out to others; Have put Martinez firmly in the driving seat at the start of the new year.

The announcement was made on Sky Sports news this afternoon.

Sky Pundit and former Brentford player Chris Kamara thinks Swansea are the team to catch in league one.
