Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez was left ruing missed chances as the Swans draw 1-1 with Sheffield Wednesday.

In a performance that deserved so much more Martinez is still pleased with his teams performance despite the feeling that Liberty Stadium outfit dropped two points to an Owls side that did not look threatening until Steve Watson headed past Dorus De Vries in the Swansea goal with 20 minutes remaining. Ferrie Bodde had put Swansea ahead in the first half with a unstoppable drive past a stranded Grant in the visitors goal.

Martinez told The BBC:

“We controlled the game for 90 minutes and created enough chances. We reduced Sheffield Wednesday to two attempts in the second half and we were punished. I am pleased with the performance, but I feel we dropped two points. The amount of chances we created, we should have won the game.”
