Swansea City boss Roberto Martinez has heaped praise on Andrea Orlandi by saying he’ll be the ‘best left-footed player in the Championship’.

He netted his first Swansea City goal last night, giving us a 1-0 win in a friendly against CF Palamos.

After struggling with injuries last season, Martinez is expecting him to be one of their star performers in the Championship:

”Without a doubt Andrea is going to be the best left-footed player in the Championship,”

”It was just the other side of his game that Andrea needed to work on.

”You have to be effective and you have to be ready for the British game, and I think Andrea is ready now.

”He understands what is needed now and he has come back really focused and worked hard since day one.

”It’s great to see him score his first goal. With the quality he has got he should hit the back of the net a lot more often.”

Swansea City face Orlandi’s former club tonight – Barcelona B. You can follow the match live on Vital Swansea with chat, updates and score.
