Roberto Martinez said he was pleased with his side’s performance in the 3-1 home win against Watford.

His side still remain unbeaten at the Liberty Stadium and our 4th win on home soil sees us rise 3 places in the League table to 9th.

Ferrie Bodde cancelled out Williamson’s 33rd minute opener just 45 seconds later with a stunning 35-yard strike.

The Dutchman then picked out Scotland with a superb pass to put us in front, Bauza then came off the bench to add a third deep into injury time.

After the game, Martinez told the Official Site:

‘I think it was a very good scoreline.

‘It was important to win and I’m very pleased with the performance, especially in the second-half.

‘The reaction we showed in the second-half was completely different. We controlled the tempo, we slowed it down and sped it up when he had to, that allowed us to create enough chances to win the game comfortably.

‘If you look at the stats we reduced Watford into two corners and no shots on target in the second-half, and that shows the energy and work of the players.

‘I thought Watford started a little bit better doing what they’re good at in the first-half

‘They adapted well, controlled the tempo of the game and made it very difficult for us.

‘They are a team with huge experience at this level and they know how to be effective.’
