Hornets manager John Maggs had issued a warning to their league opponents prior to the game stating ‘Underestimate us at your peril’.

If Swansea listened to his comments it certainly did show as Horsham took shock 2-1 lead with 23 minutes on the clock following a brace by Lee Farrell.

‘First half we started really well, we played as much good football as they did – to go 2-1 was a dream and we deserved it.’

All credit to Swansea, they are fast across the pitch and in the second half it was a job to keep hold of them.’

I said the players will run until they drop and they have done that.’

I am so proud of the boys, Horsham FC and the town should be proud of them. We havne;t let ourselves down.’
