Jordi Lopez’s agent says that the midfielder is in talks with Swansea City.

The Spaniard worked with Paulo Sousa at QPR and the new Swansea boss is keen to work with him again at the Liberty Stadium.

“Almost a direct replacement for Bodde it seems in ability and positioning sense.”

Lopez has met with Sousa over a possible switch but there are two other Championship clubs tracking him.

He failed to agree new terms recently with QPR and he’s a free agent. However, It’s thought that his wages at QPR would be significantly higher that what we can offer him, so his wage demands could become an issue in our attempts to sign him.

Lopez’s agent Alex Bonnot told BBC Sport:

“Contact has been made, we’ve been talking with Paulo. Paulo would be happy to have Jordi with him.

There’s a good professional relationship between them.”

“Jordi has two other options. It’s going to be down to the talks and the decision of Jordi. Everything so far has been very transparent and clear.”
