Swansea City manager Graham Potter has named his first first-team line-up at a home League game as his side entertain Preston North End at the Liberty Stadium for today’s 3 pm kick-off.
With four defenders now sold during this Summer transfer window, much was said since Thursday’s deadline day – when both Jordi Amat and Federico Fernandez were sold – about who would replace our former skipper.
Well, it’s youngster Joe Rodon! A great chance for him to nail down a first-team place here.
There’s also a surprise return to the bench for midfielder Leroy Fer who has made a quicker-than-expected recovery from an ACL injury he suffered way back in February.
SWANS:
Nordfeldt, Roberts, van der Hoorn (c), Rodon, Olsson, Celina – Fulton – Carroll, Asoro – McBurnie – McKay.
Swans Subs:
Mulder, Naughton, Grimes, Dhanda, Fer, Dyer, Montero.
Preston North End:
For the visitors, Manchester City loan target and 19-year-old striker Nmecha starts.
