The latest rumours suggest that Leeds United manager Neil Warnock is targeting Swansea City striker Leroy Lita.

Swansea boss Michael Laudrup has recently said that he is looking to cut the squad to 22 or 23 players and that would mean having to sell up to 12 players.

Leroy Lita would appear to be one of those players likely to move on as he rarely played a Premier League last season. He scored 2 goals in 4 starts as he struggled to impress previous boss Brendan Rodgers.

The former Reading striker joined the Swans a year ago in a move worth £1.75m to Championship side Middlesbrough. The money didn’t prove to be money well spent though as he was last season’s third choice frontman behind Danny Graham and Luke Moore.

The Mirror don’t have a reputation of being consistently accurate with their transfer rumours but a move for Lita out of Swansea certainly makes sense given his absence from the first team last year.

Michael Laudrup wants a smaller squad whereby every player within it has a first team chance, but he’ll have to consider whether he’s good enough for Premier League level.
