Out of favour squad members Darryl Duffy and Darren Way have attracted interest from League One clubs.
The Evening Post are today reporting that Bristol Rovers are interested in striker Darryl Duffy while Darren Way could make a possible return to Yeovil Town.
Both players have struggled to gain first team places at the club this season. Darryl Duffy has even struggled to make the subs bench while Way has struggled for the past 2 years with injury problems.
It looks as if both players’ futures will belong elsewhere next year, as they both go in search of regular first team football.
Rumours at the moment suggest Bristol Rovers have bid £80,000 for Duffy, compared to the £250,000 we paid Hull for him last Summer.
Chairman Huw Jenkins told the Evening Post:
|‘We are focused on strengthening our squad and making it competitive for the Championship,’ |
‘We don’t want to sell any of our players.
‘Roberto has spoken to everyone in the squad and told them if they feel it would benefit their career by seeking first-team football somewhere else then that is up to them.
‘A couple of clubs have shown interest in our players but there is nothing official in it. It is in the players’ hands. If they want to stay here and fight for their place then that is great for us.’
