Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup believes there’s players good enough in the free agent market to bring in as a replacement for the injured Neil Taylor.

The left back will miss the rest of the season after suffering a broken ankle in last Saturday’s 2-2 draw at home against Sunderland.

Laudrup said:

“When you look at the squad, our only big problem is left-back because of Neil`s injury,”

“We are working on it. What has happened is very sad for Neil, and for us it was difficult that it came around 20 hours after the closure of the transfer window.

“But we have been looking for a couple of days at the free agents who are available and I think there are a couple of players who could suit us. Now we have to see what happens.”

Laudrup added that he’ll do his research to determine the best player to bring in:

“There are a lot of names being mentioned and a lot of people are calling us,”

“Agents are calling and offering players and that`s fine.

“Of course, we have to try to find out about these players.

“We have to do some research ? we have to talk to a lot of people who have no interest in these players and get their opinions.”
