Shefki Kuqi was obviously delighted to score his first goal for Swansea City, and it gave us a vital win against his former club.

The Finn scored the only goal in last night’s match at Selhurst Park, but it was enough to give us all 3 points against Neil Warnock’s side.

Swansea boss Paulo Sousa gave the 33 year-old his first start since joining in January and it took him just 14 minutes to get on the scoresheet.

He told the Official Site:

‘I’m really happy to score my first goal,’

‘But it doesn’t matter who I score against, whether it’s against an old club of mine or not, I have a job to do and I hope I can start scoring more goals for Swansea City.’

The Swans now face a tough test on Saturday at home to second-placed Newcastle United. They’ll be looking to bounce back from last night’s 3-0 defeat at Derby County.
