Transfer-listed striker Leon Knight has rejected the opportuntity to join Peterborough and Northampton and insists he wants to join a club ”at least as big as Swansea, if not bigger.”

Peterborough confirmed yesterday that they had a bid accepted for the striker while Northampton had also confirmed their interest in the profilic goalscorer.

However, the player has rejected both clubs and says: ‘I told Jackett when I first went on the transfer list that my agent and I would sort out finding a new club for me.’

‘I’m prepared to wait until January because I’m not in any rush. But I’ve scored 20 goals in 25 starts so I think I can get a move to a club at least as big as Swansea, if not bigger.’

Gillingham and Millwall have also supposingly shown an interest but it’s likely that Knight will turn those clubs down as well.

Swansea City paid Brighton £125,000 for his services in January and they’ll be looking to claim at least all of that fee back when they come to sell him.

Despite scoring 20 goals in 25 starts, the fiery character appears to be a disruptive influence in the dressing room and Jackett is set to reveal all after his departure.
