Swansea City Chairman Huw Jenkins has today flatly denied any link to Blackpool Striker Keigan Parker and insists that replacements could yet still arrive at the Liberty Stadium.
Despite this Roberto Martinez has stated that the former St Johnston Striker is a player he is watching.
Jenkins also spoke about a failed bid to bring 22 year old Centre Back Souleymane Bamba from Dunfermline Athletic.
Whilst the clock is firmly ticking against Swansea City to secure the players needed to fill vital roles in the Squad ; Jenkins has said no Official Bids have been tabled.

From The South Wales Evening Post:
|Roberto has made it clear that he would like to bring in some additions to the squad before Friday.’|
We had a list of around 10 centre-halves and the top six we made enquiries about. Day by day it whittles down and you see who you could get in – that depends on a number of factors.’
We are in a lucky situation where we can get players in on loan seven days after the deadline.’
We have had a few conversations but that is about it at the moment.’
The goalkeeping issue will probably be solved in the next couple of days, but there is no rush.’
Both the Board’s and Martinez’s laid back approach is a little concerning . Are they playing their cards close to their chests or is there a genuine feeling at the club they have the players to carry them throughout the season?
Answers on a postcard.
The Failed attempt at getting Souleymane Bamba to transfer to Swansea from East End Park should serve as a catalyst to step up the efforts to sign a CB.
