Renato Sanches is set to miss out but Swansea City are hopeful that Wilfried Bony will be available

Swansea City have mixed injury news ahead of Saturday’s home game against Huddersfield Town.

Bayern Munich midfield loanee Renato Sanches is set to miss out with a thigh injury, but striker Wilfried Bony could be available following a hamstring problem.

Nathan Dyer is also available again after a long road to recovery, 9 months after an achilles injury.

Clement gave an update:

“We are monitoring Wilfried closely,”

“He rejoined training today. I haven`t spoken to him since the end of the session but we will assess him, then we`ll do the same again tomorrow.

“We will see how he is. I would say he is 50-50 for a start on Saturday as things stand.”

“Renato is a big doubt for the weekend after picking up a minor thigh strain while he was training with Portugal,”

“It looks like it will rule him out of this game, although we are not 100 percent sure yet.

“It`s disappointing because he has improved with each game he has played, but if he misses this weekend, it`s highly probable that he will be back next week.”

Paul Clement also says that Dyer will be an important player of the squad this season after welcoming him back:

“It`s been a long road back for Nathan but he is available for selection now,”

“It would be difficult to play 90 minutes at the moment – it`s step by step.

“But he will bring us another dynamic. He is still quick, he can run with the ball and he can beat players. He is going to be an important part of the group going forward.”
