Swansea City left winger Andrea Orlandi could be back a month sooner than expected after receiving good news regarding his knee injury.
He suffered the injury on January 8th and was expected to be sidelined for 3 months, but he could be back early next month.
Physio Richie Evans told the Official Site:
|‘The consultant surgeon in London, Andy Williams, is delighted with his progress.|
‘Having undergone an exploratory operation, he found the cartilage tear had pretty much healed itself and there was no need for a further operation.
‘He was impressed by the fact that the club had invested in a £2,500 ice compression machine which delivers a constant supply of ice to the injured area.
‘The consultant felt that the machine has aided Orlandi’s rehabilitation significantly and his comeback time will probably be cut from three to two months – which is great news.”
Along with Owain Tudur-Jones and Darren Way’s imminent return, Orlandi will also add to Martinez’s options as we head into the remaining 18 games of the season.
Paul Anderson is the other midfield player out injured but at the moment the squad is still looking strong to maintain our top position in League One.
