Hull City have today opened talks with full back Sam Ricketts over a move to the KC Stadium.

A clause in his contract means that the Welsh International is allowed to speak to any club that offers more than £300,000 for the player, the reason why the Tigers increased their bid recently by just £25,000.

Vital Swansea understand though, that Swansea are still entitled to refuse the transfer. Hull are very keen on signing Ricketts but Swansea are trying to hold out for a bigger fee.

A contract cannot be offered until a fee has been agreed.

Kenny Jackett said: ‘Hull did make a bid for Sam but that was turned down.

‘It is hard to put an exact figure on the deal as they were offering players in exchange as well. The players that they offered did not interest me at all.’

> Tickets for the home friendly against Wolves on July 22nd will go on sale tomorrow from 10am.

Prices are 10 for adults and 5 for children for all areas of the stadium.

The ticket office will be open from 10am until 6pm weekdays, 10am to 4pm Saturdays and closed on Sundays.
