John Hartson says he’s interested in managing Swansea City and will be applying for the job.
The former Celtic and Welsh international striker has an A-license in coaching which allows him to manage in the Championship, and he’s hoping that his hometown club give him his first opportunity in football management.
|“He would make a good manager in the future but lacks the experience.”|
The popular 35 year-old, who was treated for testicular cancer last year, has stated numerous times how he dreamed of playing for the Swans. They never became reality but could he manage us instead?
He told the Evening Post:
‘I am definitely interested in the job and I will be applying for it.
‘But I really can’t say any more than that because I will be going through the necessary channels.’
Hartson is extremely popular and admired by Swansea City fans, who have always given him a warm welcome when he’s appeared at the Liberty Stadium. I’m sure if he did get the job he’d be very welcomed and supported, but would we prefer someone with more experience?
