New signing Ryan Harley sees himself as a ‘creative, goalscoring midfielder’, something we’ve needed this season.

The 25 year-old will spend the rest of the season at Exeter City, before joining up with his new team-mates at Swansea this Summer.

Harley said:

‘I see myself as a creative midfielder who can score goals. Obviously, there are some good midfield players here at the moment, but I am looking forward to a good battle for places,’

‘I haven’t missed many games at Exeter, I have been one of the regulars down there, but I know it will be different at a bigger club like Swansea.

‘It may be harder to be playing all the games, but it is something I feel confident I can do.’

Harley also said that the Swans match his style having watched them play:

‘I have seen Swansea play a few times and I like the way they play, it suits my style,’

‘Out of all the Championship clubs, this was the one that played the most attractive football.

‘At Exeter, the manager (Paul Tisdale) just wants the boys to go out and express themselves and play an attacking style and it is the same here.

‘When I spoke to the manager here he seemed everything that I was told about him beforehand. He has got great ideas and wants to take the club to the next level.’

Harley added: ‘The Swans are second in the Championship at the moment and there is no reason why they can’t stay there or even win it.

‘It would be nice to come back here in the summer with the club preparing to play in the Premier League.’
