Nottingham Forest full back and Welsh international Chris Gunter is backing the Swans to improve their away form after the Swans lost 3-1 at the City Ground on Saturday.

Our losing run on our travels is beginning to become a concern for the Swans and it’s a habit we need to end as soon as possible. We have an opportunity to do that on Tuesday night as we travel to face Brendan Rodgers’ former club Watford.

Gunter said:

“We were unbeaten away until January 30 last year and then we couldn`t buy a win away in the second half of the season.

“But you have to try and focus on how you play and not about runs, because it makes it harder to get out of it.

“Their home form is good and it can balance itself out. It`s always good to pick up points away but if they can carry on like they have done at home then they shouldn`t get too concerned.”

“They`re not a bad side but we`ve worked all week on how Swansea play and one of our strengths is knowing the strengths of Swansea.

“We know how they play and Swansea fans and players have to give us credit because we set up well.

“To be fair to our manager, he never gets done tactically like that.

“Swansea still passed it well. Not many teams come to our place and have more of the ball than us as they did.

“They`ve definietly added more of an attacking threat than last year so I`d expect them to be up challenging again.”
