Swansea City winger Mark Gower is calling for his team mates to ‘rise to the challenge’ and bounce back from two disappointing results in the Championship.

The Swans are still the only side in the League to not get a point on the board, and after Saturday’s 3-0 defeat to Middlesbrough, we’ve got a chance to put things right on Tuesday night when Reading visit the Liberty Stadium.

Mark Gower, along with the rest of his team mates, remain upbeat despite our first two games. He told BBC Sport:

‘It will be a tough game but we are pleased with the quick turnaround after the Middlesbrough defeat,’

‘When you lose a game, the last thing you want is a break so luckily enough we’ve got a game within three days so hopefully we can put smiles on a few faces next week.

‘Unfortunately we haven’t had a good as start as we’d like so that adds a little bit of extra pressure.

‘But the lads have got to rise to the occasion and rise to the challenge.

‘However, we are not going to chuck all of our footballing philosophies out of the window just because we’ve had a few bad results.

‘We are going to keep playing the way we’re playing and keep knocking the ball around.’
