|It’s another super move from the Swans on 84 minutes, the ball is cut back to Dyer at the far post but his left-footed drive goes just wide.|
With 9 minutes to go, Bauza replaces Joe Allen.
Bobby Zamora is on for Fulham.
The Swans continuing to enjoy their dominance. A good move involving Dyer results in Rangel’s cross being cut out for a corner. Minutes later, Orlandi lays off for Gomez who shoots just over from 18 yards.
Roberto Martinez makes his first change after 70 minutes. It’s unlucky for him as he’s played very well.
On 52, it’s the EQUALISER! and deserved. Gower gets the ball to Scotland, with a superb turn before striking low with left foot, another superb turn and shot from Jason, his 17th goal.
It’s more of the same from the Swans in the second half as Gower gets another chance on 50 minutes. He links up well with Scotland but his left footed volley is saved.
Swansea City find themselves a goal down just a minute before the break. An in-swinging corner comes in from the right, it’s not dealt with by anyone and it comes off Monk to concede an own goal. Cruel and unlucky as we’ve looked the better side so far.
With 5 minutes remaining, De Vries makes a superb save to deny Johnson a certain goal. The ball was flicked on by Nevland, but de Vries came rushing out to claim the ball at Johnson’s feet.
If only we could get Scotland involved as he’s been very quiet so far.
More superb play by Swansea on the half hour mark which leads to Tate curling a long-range shot just over the bar.
As I type that, The frustration for Gower reaches a new high as he gets the best chance he’ll get at scoring his first goal. Gomez picks out Rangel down the right with an excellent pass. He crosses to find Gower free in the 6-yard area, but his strike is well saved.
No other clear cut chances for either side as we pass the half way stage of the first half. The Swans have made a promising start though.
Despite the visitors having the early possession, the Swans have the first real chance in the third minute. Good link up down the left involving Scotland and Gower, and it was Gower who got himself into a great position in the box but his left-footed shot came back off the post and into the keeper’s hands.
|Martinez makes one change as Angel Rangel is back in the side following a one-match ban.|
