News of the World are reporting that Fulham have joined the race to sign £2.5million rated striker Jason Scotland.
Middlesbrough were the latest club to have been linked with a possible bid for the 30 year-old, and the Sunday paper now believe that Roy Hodgson wants to bring him to Craven Cottage.
|“If Fulham came in with a suitable bid then he would be silly not to accept it.”|
The Fulham boss has watched Scotland in action at least twice this season as the Swans played against the Premiership outfit in the FA Cup. Scotland forced a replay after scoring a second half equaliser at the Liberty Stadium.
News of the World also mention that Burnley boss Owen Coyle is also interested in signing the striker, who scored 24 goals this season.
It must be said though that the Sunday newspaper isn’t famous for their accurate transfer stories like this so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens in the coming months.
Swansea City boss Roberto Martinez has recently said that they don’t need to sell any of their players, and they would cost ‘millions’ to buy. He also said that players would only be sold if it was the right decision for the club.
Other transfer speculation suggests that Angel Rangel is the subject of a £4m Summer bid from Blackburn.
